Made to Create.

The Future of Fankind is limitless. With Adobe Express and Firefly, everyone is enabled to create.

In this campaign for Adobe, we teamed up with MLB to prove that belief on one of sport’s biggest stages: the MLB Playoffs. We created an 8-mascot playoff where Firefly-generated characters battled it out for the title of Fankind’s official mascot.

Leading off: The Big Dumper

To kick off the campaign, we found a huge asset in American League MVP Runner-up Cal Raleigh (aka “The Big Dumper”). Inspired by his nickname, the Seattle Mariner created his own mascot: a flannel-clad bigfoot named Dumpasquatch.

The social partnership showed Adobe tools in action, and encouraged fans to join in and create their own fan mascots.

Next in the order: The Playoffs

Riding the Cal Raleigh high, we shared our 8-mascot playoff on Adobe social media. Influencer partnerships brought further attention to the campaign, and soon enough the votes started pouring in!

Rounding Home: Alfie Bull!

After 3 rounds of voting, a winner was crowned in Alfie Bull! We shared the results on Adobe socials to great 🔥🔥 and 💯 fanfare. It’s said that in Alfie’s hometown of Lubbock, Texas, all the local stores ran out of Champagne.

Take a look some of the other mascots in some of these assets below. Do you think the fans made the right choice?

Mound Visit: Lessons in Generation.

In the ever-changing world of generative AI, the process we used to make these mascots then may look a little different than how we might do so now. Still, this process offers an interesting look at how creatives can use AI tools to enable our contributions, not replace them.
